Tragic story, I wasn't careful when opening the packaging, and broke the end off. Since I caused the damage I wasn't going to be a jerk and try return it. So I doctored it up as best I could, using some needles, thread and super glue as a splint. First fish it caught, which is too embarrassing to mention, it broke again.I have no doubt that if I had been more careful unpacking it, it would have held up to fishes 10 times the size I caught with it. So great rod, it's just a user error.Love the action of these rods. Have had 3 now. Think the value is great. All though I have broke 2 of them about 3 eyelet from tip. Don't horse them.If you like to cast a long ways, or if you like things that operate smoothly. If you are looking for a very sensitive, yet strong rod. Then this is exactly what you are looking for. 13 Fishing’s Fate Black rod is one of the best, if not THE best fishing rod for the money. I’ve caught several 4, 5, And 6lbs bass, catfish, and Crappie. Without any problems. I’ve told all my friends, I compare it to. Getting out of a S-10 pickup. And hoping in a Cadillac!!! It’s that big of a difference.First pole that has ever managed to snap just by laying in the bed of my truck. I’ve always just kept them back there on their own. Didn’t think it’d be possible for one to break in any way on its own without anything else back there to smash any eyelets or anything.. I bought this as a main but it’s just not a good pole.. I ended up putting my nice reel on my other pole and used this as a secondary.. pole broke right below the 2nd from last eyelet where the metal part of the eyelet meets the pole..I've been fishing for almost 30 years. I have Some of the most expensive fishing rods out there and I have a G Loomis nrx which cost $550 and this Rod as more sensitive. If I can get a 10 star as I would. love it will be coming back for more.I really like this rod! It is sensitive and has plenty of flex (and is a cool color). I used a Texas rigged worm with a bullet weight the first time I used it and it worked great.Nicely balanced rod, responsive and comfortable. The green looks killer and gets compliments all the time! Its my go-to rod for bass fishing, normally strung with 15lb invizx on a Daiwa reel. The rod is fantastic except for the fact that it was shipped in way too small of a tube. Luckily the costumer advice is great and they are working on my regund now.I love these rods I have several of them definitely worth every penny only downside is the reel seat is painted rather then a green plastic so over time will become black but wow there bright and have amazing action. My new go to dropshot stick!didn't come broken and for $70 cad can't go wrong, can see the rod in use at north of 7 outdoors @youtube.
