I have been using this fly rod combo for a while now and am satisfied with my purchase. All the fish in the photos were caught using this rod, and so far it has been frozen solid, covered in mud and dropped plenty of times, but the rod still functions and looks great. Casting is accurate and feels good, allows me to get a great presentation on dries and place flies exactly where I want. It has enough backbone to cut through some wind but it's still flexible and lightweight. I replaced the fly line with some higher quality fly line, but there's nothing wrong with the one that comes in the kit. The rest of the kit is great, I still use the leaders and tippet that it came with as well as the case, fly box, and weights. I found the strike indicators were not great but they still worked. Overall, the combo outperformed my expectations and I would recommend it highly to any beginner looking for a quality, complete setup. This is also good for a fisherman who wants to add a backup rod to their collection. If you'd like to catch fish and not break the bank, this is the perfect combo.
